It's the law
- EPC's are required by law for all dwellings offered for sale from June 30th 2008
- All new build dwellings from 30th Sept 2008
- Any property offered for rent from 30th Dec 2008

Therefore if you intend to sell, buy,or rent any dwelling, that dwelling must have an Energy Performance Certificate. ( EPC )
An EPC is to be made available by the owner of a property to the prospective buyer or tenant when a building is constructed, sold or rented out. The certificate must not be more than 10 years old.
